This project involved the development of a Bulk Milk Processing Centre located in Muhoroni, Kisumu County for the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI). The project commenced in June 2017 and included the construction of key operational facilities such as a processing plant, generator houses, and administration offices.
Renaissance Africa Consult Ltd provided multidisciplinary consultancy services for the project, including architectural, structural, quantity surveying, mechanical, and electrical engineering services. The professional team comprised a Project Manager, an Architect, a Quantity Surveyor, an Electrical Engineer, a Civil/Structural Engineer, and a Mechanical Engineer.
The project was led by Architect Gideon Ngumbau, who served as the Project Manager and Team Leader, providing overall project leadership and coordinating site meetings and inspections. Associated consultants, HK Consult Ltd and Bosko Engineering Ltd, participated in the project for a period of twelve months.
The Bulk Milk Collection Centre in Muhoroni, Kisumu County, was completed and handed over on 14th January 2019 and is currently in operation.
