This project involved the development of a Bulk Milk Processing Centre located in Oyugis, Homa Bay County for the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI). The development comprised key facilities required for the operation of the centre, including a processing plant, generator houses, and administration offices.
Renaissance Africa Consult Ltd provided multidisciplinary consultancy services for the project, including architectural, structural, quantity surveying, mechanical, and electrical engineering services. The professional team included a Project Manager, Architect, Quantity Surveyor, Electrical Engineer, Civil/Structural Engineer, and Mechanical Engineer.
The project was led by Architect Gideon Ngumbau, who served as the Project Manager and Team Leader, providing project leadership and coordinating site meetings and inspections. Associated consultants, HK Consult Ltd and Bosko Engineering Ltd, participated in the project for a period of twelve months.
The Bulk Milk Processing Centre was completed and handed over on 15th January 2019 and is currently in operation.
